Nature Nate's Honey

Product Design
Project Overview
In this project, I was tasked with enhancing Nature Nate's package design to create a product that would appeal to consumers as a high-quality offering. My objective was to elevate the design to reflect a sophisticated and desirable aesthetic. I meticulously crafted front, top, and back labels, ensuring they not only conveyed accurate nutritional information but also exuded a natural and refined appearance.
My Contributions
I began my process by immersing myself in research, exploring upscale package designs across various product categories before honing in on honey products. Through this exploration, I identified key design elements that evoke feelings of naturalness, medicinal qualities, high quality, or familiarity. Armed with this insight, I embarked on sketching different label concepts aimed at conveying a sense of luxury and authenticity. Ultimately, I opted to merge the opulence of gold foiling with natural botanical illustrations to achieve a captivating aesthetic. After selecting suitable jars for packaging, I proceeded to draft rough designs for both front and back labels, ensuring they harmonized seamlessly with the chosen containers. Once satisfied with the design I meticulously printed, affixed the gold foiling, and adhered the labels to the jars, culminating in a presentation that exuded both natural charm and luxurious appeal, perfectly complementing the richness of the honey within.

A glass jar with a medium brown wooden top filled with amber honey. The jar has a rectangular light, mint green label with an inner golden rectangle framing text. The text says, "Nature Nate's Organic Honey Pure & Unfiltered." The words nature nate's is in thin black text with a small black line art bee in between. The word organic is in thin violet text above the word honey. The word honey is in gold foil and takes up a large portion of the middle of the label. There is space under the word Honey and then the words Pure & Unfiltered are in thin grey text. To the left and right of the honey is a botanical color drawing of a violet and green "red clover."
By far, the most challenging aspect of this project proved to be incorporating gold foiling into my labels. Despite exploring various methods, none yielded satisfactory outcomes. In a determined effort to achieve the desired effect, I resorted to printing the label using two different printers and then delicately applying the gold foil through a heated laminator. While the outcome wasn't flawless, it sufficed for the scope of this project.
