Robot Show

Poster Design
Project Overview
I was tasked with creating a new and unique poster design for an event that is held twice a year. Looking back at previous projects, most robots had been humanoid. I consulted with the client about what she was looking for, whether she wanted something realistic to the robots at the show, or something more fantastical. We settled on a animal based design and I came back with a dog robot as a blueprint.
My Contributions
I started by presenting the client with sketches and research images. Once we picked a robot direction, I suggested a blueprint style poster design with labels. I showed the client a rough draft of the dog on blueprint poster with labels, and we decided on using a different font. Once the font was changed, I changed the thickness of the robotic dogs lines. Once this design was finalized I used the poster assets to design digital banners for advertisement.
A vertical 11 x 17 inch poster with a black plastic frame around it hung on a concrete wall. The poster shows an outline of a robot dog on a blueprint-like background. The dog is labeled and has a "Best in Show" ribbon to the left of its left ear. Above the dog the text says, "Robot Show & Engineering Showcase." Beneath the dog the text says, " Tuesday December 5th 3:30-5pm Located at Lincoln Mall."

Four different size horizontal banners for different digital spaces, like a web banner and facebook banner. These each have the robot dog from the robot show poster on them on the left, and text details for the event on the right.
